Week 6 EOC: Me Times Three
Three things to express myself, is truly hard to come up
with. One thing though that really tends to express myself would honestly have
to be hair dye. I really do believe hair dye is something that I probably over
use but truly love. I love dying my hair, the smell make me super excited to
see the outcome. Though at times when it isn't the color I want, in a couple
weeks it’ll be time for a change.
Another thing to express myself would have to be my
jackets/vests. No matter what I love to accessorize not with jewelry but with a
jacket or a vest. I have a fitted hooded jacket with an edgy style, I feel as
though it can make the simplest of outfits look fierce. I have several vests
ones a white faux leather and it adds a nice touch to a colored outfit, or my
jean army inspired studded and hooded vest, would have to be my favorite, it’s
different, and it’s comfy and I absolutely love it.
Last but not least the third thing that expresses me would definitely
have to be my body modifications. I have piercing and tattoos and honestly I
love them all and it truly makes me my unique self. I have gauges and extra ear
piercings which I tend to wear on and off. I have tattoos that express who I
am, and I have had so many different types of piercings its crazy.
These three things are what separate me from everyone else.
They make me unique, I stand out because of these things and I wouldn't change
these three things about myself. For I have learned to express myself in a way
I feel most comfortable, whether people like it or not. So that being said,
these are three things to express me.
Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service.
Great Customer Service.. Well for starters, occasionally you
will see Wal-Mart doing this, but for the most part, they suck at it. Every
time I enter the store I try to remember where exactly everything is, for I
dread asking a sales person. Usually when I need to speak to someone there,
they never exactly know where the item in their department is, and if they do
the sales person is NEVER around. I’d like to say that this is an example of
the WORST customer service on the planet along with Pet Pros, who are
constantly rude; their dogs always smell like piss. Oh, not to mention they do
not treat their dogs kindly, but some have been starving!!!
The best customer service experience I have had would have
to be Urban Outfitters; they are always so upbeat and encourage you to try on
clothes in the nicest manor possible. They persuade their customers, and they
always seem to end up satisfied. I remember going in to try on a pair of shorts
and the dressing room attendant had straight up told me “I think the black acid
wash shorts would look better, if you are looking for high waist shorts”, so I grabbed
the pair and tried them on, and loved them. I also ended up trying a pair of
jeans and she turned to me and smiled and said, “I wish they were in my size,
they are so cute.” The people there are really just extremely friendly and make
you want to buy and always come back for more. Not to mention they have the coolest shoes at
the most affordable price. I completely recommend shopping there.
Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting
"These programs employ everyday consumers who are passionate about their products to act as part PR agents, part sales reps, and part evangelists."Employing customers, lifetime customers, people who love the food or love the product. People paid to promote a product are Brand Ambassadors. "A labor of love more than a paying job." So rather then them having a real job the get paid to eat something they enjoy eating, or wearing clothing products they have always worn. To most people this would probably be the easiest/ funnest job on the planet and I'm sure if you could apply to be one, most people would.
"Facebook hires account for less than 1% of the total hires companies are making, according to Jobs2Web, which helps companies track the sources of candidates and hires." It seems as though you can click on ads posted on Facebook to apply for a job, which seems simple enough. Though, from experience I know this to not be as easy as it sounds. First the work from home jobs are almost always scams. Cause you never receive the kit you pay for. Also half the time when you apply to the jobs they have, once you give your phone number you get non-stop calls asking if you are interested in continuing your education. Though, every job that messages you seems to only point you in the direction of you "modeling" for some BS company. Or even you promoting some crapy energy drink.. So it seems to me that Facebook is probably not the way to go to look for a job.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics
BABY BOOMERS(1946-1964)
"More babies were born in 1946 than ever before: 3.4 million, 20 percent more than in 1945."
The Baby boom generation actually took up 40% of the nation. It occurred after the war, and the want for children grew, for the wives of soldiers had put off having children to wait for their husbands to come home.
GENERATION X(1964-1981)
"Members of Generation X are often characterized as being well-educated but under-employed." It was more common to see divorced woman in this generation which meant single moms. Because the moms had to earn a living to support their children, the children in this generation grew up and became more independent .
GENERATION Y/ NEW BOOMERS (1983-2001)
This generation has been known to change job and even careers frequently. They are known to be less committed to work then other generations. They are also known as the 'Me, Me, Me' Generation. They are also the biggest since the Baby Boomers. "Labeling them the ‘Me, Me, Me’ generation: narcissistic, fame-obsessed, and self interested"
Baby Boomers and Gen. Y are similar due to the fact that Gen. Y has had almost as many kids as the Baby Boomers. Other than that they have little in common, but some could be their parents. Generation X seems to put more effort into their work, while Generation Y may work but may also not have a job for very long.

EOC Week 4: Building b-b
The definition of B To B, is a type of transactions made between businesses, which usually involve a manufacturer and wholesaler. B to B is between two companies rather than the retailer. So when products are sold its between two businesses or customers buying products. “The finished product can then be sold to individuals via business to consumer transactions. The company’s consumer finance unit—GE Money—helps finance these and other purchasers through credit cards, loans, mortgages, and other financial services.”
“Did you know that GE’s consumer products contribute less than one-third of the company’s total $183 billion in annual sales?” This is because the consumer market revolves around cultural, personal, social, and psychological behaviors.
“But that’s about where the similarities end. In its business markets, rather than selling to large numbers of small buyers, GE sells to a few very large buyers”
“Buying decisions are much more complex. An average consumer buying a refrigerator might do a little online research and then pop out to the local Best Buy to compare models before buying one.” People buy for different reasons, whether it's for cosmetic reasons or hygenic reasons. There are needs and wants that people have. Though, in the end we form habits, meaning when we buy a product and like it we will always, usually go back and get it again. This causes a long term relationship with a product. Which is what B to B wants, unless the market goes down, then it may make it so that people can't afford to buy the product any longer.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good
Lauren Bush Lauren Helps FEED the World…
“You buy a pair of TOMS or a FEED product, and someone is helped—we provide them with pair of shoes or meals for a whole year, or we help with problems like sight restoration.”
FEED is a company that sells many products like; bags, accessories, and apparel. In this case for products bought, the profits are used to feed people around the world who need it. Also recently, FEED has begun selling more at places like target.
It’s nice because when you buy a product from the company, on the item you are buying, you are being told who you are feeding, like “FEED India,” “FEED Kenya”. It’s a nice way to wear something fashionable while also showing others whom they could also be feeding.
“The FEED Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds to ensure nutritious school meals for all children as a first step to improving the global food system.”
This is honestly a smart and hip way to help other countries who truly need it, not only are you getting a nice item but you are also feeding a lot of people in the process.
“It was exciting to compare notes and see what TOMS could be doing differently based on her experiences with FEED.” The man behind Toms was even inspired, and also learning from Laurens experiences. She gave him tips/ advice to help with promoting the charity and in doing so, more and more people will be helped. More people will be able to have a decent mean and shoes to do with it.
All I have to say is thank you to those who may come from money, but instead of bathing in it, you decided to help spread charity through many people’s lives with what you are doing. It’s nice to know that you take more time into getting others involved rather than just writing a check and calling it a day.

Week 2 EOC : Boston Consulting Group- Video Games
Back in January 2009, video game sales had jumped up 10%, all because people spend 60-70 dollars on a single game. In June 2009 sales jumped up 29% and the demand for video game consoles had increased, causing game sales to increase as well. Although PlayStation had to cut 100 dollars off their consoles, due to alternative electronic devices, such as Apple products. Apple products offer games from free-.99 cents. The biggest sales time is the year-end holiday sales, the time of the biggest profits. Video games are what keep the system sales up. They target kids, families, people of most ages and mainly gamers, who buy the extra features for their games. I do believe that the Wii will soon be over run from the Star category, due to the Ps4 and Xbox 1.
“Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One have kicked off a new generation of console wars. While the excitement surrounding these new consoles is palpable, continued slow sales for Nintendo’s new Wii U” -By Sean Patterson · July 15, 2013 ·

“Microsoft Corp. and Sony Corp. are getting ready to launch new consoles later this year. The Xbox One, the successor to Microsoft's Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 4, successor to Sony's PS3, are expected to boost game sales over the holiday season.”

“When Activision sells a year of Call of Duty, they're not really getting $60. They're probably getting closer to $80 when you add in the average DLC sales downstream," -By Kyle Orland - Apr 15 2012, 1:45pm PDT

Week 1 EOC : My Voice
I am a fashion professional. I have finally jumped on the path to success. I am a Fashion Retail Management Major. I love what I do. I hope to one day show my designs around the world. DameVixen Designs was created to show that all women are beautiful. One day soon I hope to have a website to show and sell my designs to the public. I plan to start from the bottom and to grow as a person learning the business of fashion, working my way to the top to one day grow further in the business so that I can expand into creating the fashion for the people. For women to be able to dress comfortably and love who they are no matter their body type. The blogs I post will show how much fashion design truly means to me. When I am finished with my studies here I will continue DameVixens designs in Paris, France, to then show the world what I have to offer in fashion.
